GoChampaign Site Feedback Requested
As you may have read, the Community Improvement Corp. (CIC) is funding a redesign of the GoChampaign web site. A community Steering Committee has been formed to work on this redesign. We would like your input .
When GoChampaign was launched several years ago, its purpose was to be the electronic portal to our county. It has served that purpose well. As the Steering Committee began discussing the next step in GoChampaign's development, a proposal was submitted to develop a broader community web portal, using the new Champaign County brand to link several community sites--all sharing the same format and brand.
Although each site would be independent, the presentation to an electronic visitor would appear that each site was tied together. To get this process started, the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, City of Urbana, and County Department of Economic Development, as well as the CIC, have agreed to fund part of this project and use the new format for their sites.
The GoChampaign site will be included in this new community web portal to provide a view of community living. With that in mind, the Steering Committee asks your input on areas you think should be included in the GoChampaign redesign that would best show what it is like to live in our county. We plan to continue this community forum as part of the redesigned GoChampaign site. Please send your suggestions to cic@ctcn.net.
