VALE Guardianship Program

Description: VALE (Volunteer for Adult Life Enhancement) is the first ever guardianship program in Champaign County. VALE provides volunteer guardians who are trained and screened to fulfill the task of surrogate to those deemed incompetent by the Probate Court.
VALE provides free training to interested individuals in Champaign County. Trainings are offered in April and October. Developmental Disability CEUs are offered.
VALE follows the standards of practice of the National Guardianship Association and Ohio laws governing guardianships.
If interested in becoming a VALE guardian, supporting its cause or needing advice about guardianships or alternatives to guardianships, please contact the VALE office.
