About us

Originally launched in 2005, GoChampaign is a community website, staffed by local volunteers, designed to represent the cultural aspect of living in Champaign County.  The domain is owned by the Community Improvement Corporation of Champaign County (CIC).

The CIC is a not-for-profit organization, incorporated in 1963, with its express purpose being to advance, encourage and promote industrial, economic, commercial and civil development  and stabilize the general economy of the county.  It is led by a volunteer board of trustees, composed of 12 members representing a diverse cross section of the county.  The CIC facilitated the development and now supports GoChampaign as one of its projects.
